Dear All,

Just a quick reminder that our monthly Twitter get-together, #DLNETChat will run next Friday 4th September from 12.00pm until 2.00pm, and will look at the subject of evaluation.

Join us on Twitter next Friday 4th September July using hashtag #DLNETChat. We will be looking at the process of evaluation, and will be particularly interested to hear about new, inventive or creative ideas in the process of evaluation.

Here are some of the questions we will be looking at:

·         Do you have examples of interesting evaluation practice? (digital or not) If not, why do you think that is?

·         What online evaluation approaches have you created/used/seen? do you consider them inventive? why/why not?

·         Where is there room for inventiveness in evaluation? what are the opportunities?

·         What are some issues with innovating with evaluation?

·         Should evaluation become more creative? more objective? more invisible?

If you are unable to join us on Twitter, you can take part through this DLNET mailing list. If you have any questions, comments, case-studies or examples – or if there is anything else you would like to discuss, email this list using #DLNETChat in the subject line between now and next Friday.  During the live Twitter chat, we will try and post some updates to the mailing list, and once the live event has finished, we will post a summary of what was said.  If anybody posts a response via Twitter to a question asked by email, we will make sure the answer finds its way back to you.

I look forward to next Friday…

Thanks,

Stuart
