*         Tim Hall (University of Winchester): 'The Geographies of Organized Crime'
*         Antonio Sampaio (The International Institute for Strategic Studies): 'Urban Warfare in the Marvellous City: Calibrating Responses to Criminal Control of Spaces in Rio de Janeiro'
*         Aziz Hakimi (SOAS, University of London): 'Inlaw or outlaw: The entanglement of arms and politics in Kunduz'
*         Sasha Jesperson (Royal United Services Institute): 'Borders: An Opportunity for Crime, Limitation for Law Enforcement'
*         Andrew Brooks (Kings College, London)and Josh Lepawsky (University of Newfoundland) : 'Waste Crime: Exploring the Illicit Global Trade in Waste and Second-hand Commodities'

The day will consist of an interactive workshop organised around five presentations of short pre-circulated papers. The audience will be limited to facilitate discussion and the development of ideas. All participants will be encouraged to contribute to discussions during the day.
