The University of Leeds is aiming to recruit 250 University Academic Fellows by 2017 who have the potential to make a major contribution to the University’s academic performance and standing.

Grade 8 (£38,511 to £45,954) progressing to Grade 9 (£47,328 – £54,841) upon confirmation as Associate Professor. These posts will be supported by a structured five year fellowship development programme leading to an Associate Professor role.

One of the “Themes” for these posts is “Data Analytics” and there are a number of opportunities under this theme in the Faculty of Medicine and Health, School of Medicine, that would suit those wishing to pursue an academic statistical career including in statistical genetics. There is strong existing activity in statistical genetics or genetic epidemiology in the new Leeds MRC Centre for Medical Bioinformatics, Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disease and Leeds Institute of Cancer and Pathology.

For further details of these posts and how to apply, please see http://250greatminds.leeds.ac.uk/ and search for the theme “Data Analytics”.

Closing date for applications is 30th September 2015.
