Grade 8 £38,511 to £45,954. If no suitable applicant is forthcoming at grade 8, an appointment on the grade 7 scale may be considered (with appropriate adjustment of duties). Grade 7: £30,434 - £37,394 p.a

 

The Clinical Trials Unit is based within the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences at the University of Oxford and co-ordinates clinical trials addressing health issues of major national and international importance.  The trial statistics team provides a wide range of support to trials within and outside the PC-CTU. In addition the team provides statistical support for the Research Design Service, South Central.

 

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced senior statistician to join our fast expanding CTU. Under the supervision of the Lead Trial Statistician, the postholder will be expected to provide statistical support to all clinical trial activities, specifically to provide high quality research design advice and support to investigators applying for research grants (particularly NIHR research programmes and fellowships).

 

You will have a higher degree in medical statistics or equivalent experience supported by a strong publication record, strong communications skills and fluency in all aspects of study design and analysis, and awareness of the latest statistical techniques. 

This is a full-time position for a fixed-term period of 2 years in the first instance.
