I think you will still need to do a COSHH assessment, but you can ask Bib Child about that when you order the Constrain – or check with your nearest conservator

We use Constrain, which is cleared for “amateur use” We purchase it from Historyonics, although it’s probably also available from other suppliers:

Hi all

 

Can anyone advise me on treatment for woodworm in objects that are too large to go in the freezer? We have had some scythes donated to the collection, which have potentially wormy wooden handles. Does anyone use an off-the-shelf woodworm treatment? If so, are there COSHH implications?

 

Any advice would be gratefully received!
