Chris,

You might find our article on LabTrove in Chemical Science http://pubs.rsc.org/en/content/articlehtml/2015/sc/c4sc02128b with some more details in http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0067460

There are a number of open notebook projects using labTrove which allows you to see the lab notebooks as examples of what is being done, e.g. http://malaria.ourexperiment.org (you don’t have to run it open though!)

Best wishes
Jeremy

Dear RDM members

We are having an internal debate on the potential cost/benefits of introducing ELNs into our Research Labs. In my experience, ELNs have been successful in commercial and generally more routine research labs, but have not generally taken hold in basic/applied academic research laboratories.

Does anyone on this list have any experience in their organisations of successful introduction of ELNs that we could contact and/or know of relevant reports of evaluations of the role of ELNs in academic research labs.

Thanks

Chris Rawlings
