The UK Data Service is seeking a dynamic and confident data expert to join its Producer Relations and Research Data Management team at the UK Data Service. Being fully equipped with research skills and numeric data quality expertise, you will be responsible for working proactively with researchers, ESRC grant holders, longitudinal cohort studies and ESRC research centres to achieve good data management practices and metadata standards, and to optimise the sharing and archiving of data for research within the context of the ESRC Research Data Policy.

You will be responsible for scoping, assessing, risk and quality assessment of new research data sources for the UK Data Service, as well as capacity building.

Experience of undertaking research and data analysis in the social sciences - especially quantitative - are essential; as well as deep knowledge of social sciences data and their standards. Familiarity with longitudinal, cohort or other complex survey data is welcomed. Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills are equally important.
