Stock Development & Design Lead (full time, salary £33,569)

The Stock Lead is a key role in the newly formed Stock Development & Design Team. The team's remit is identifying new models of delivery and format and engaging more directly with our customers and communities.  This post is one of two S9 graded posts within the team, working closely with the Senior Manager, Stock Development & Design, to lead on all aspects of stock selection, stock management and stock performance, ensuring the £1.8 million resources budget is spent appropriately.

Learning & Skills Lead (full time, salary £33,569)
This position offers an exciting opportunity to use advanced people skills to lead and develop a new Learning & Skills team (LAS). This role will be instrumental in fostering a continued positive attitude towards learning, skills and personal development for staff, volunteers and members of the public, and raise the profile of the library service.  If you are a confident and enthusiastic individual, with demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills, who looks forward to developing a wider learning culture for libraries in Surrey, you will find this a stimulating and rewarding role.

Volunteer Coordinator (full time, salary £26,798)

Volunteers play an active part in developing and enhancing the library service in Surrey. Community Led Services manage and support all aspects of volunteering for Surrey libraries, for example, Computer Buddies and Rhymetime Buddies; as well as our nine Community Partnered Libraries, three Community Links, and various local history groups.  We are looking to recruit an individual who will have a significant role in ensuring that volunteer participation continues to be welcomed, encouraged and developed. Working with, and alongside our other specialist teams, the post of Volunteer Coordinator is a new role which will expand and improve support to existing volunteers, develop new volunteer roles and increase community engagement.

Senior Stock Development & Design Officer (28 hours, maternity cover, salary £18,153)

We have a temporary vacancy for a Senior Team Officer in the newly formed Stock Development & Design Team. Our innovative Stock Offer has seen our issues, visits and customer satisfaction increase and you will help build on this successful track record. You will spend 50% of your time working creatively with cluster teams, helping to drive up stock performance and improve library design. Partnership, performance and customer experience lie at the heart of the Senior Team Officer role, working collaboratively with library staff across our 53 libraries and engaging with our customers to ensure Surrey Libraries becomes the first place to go for a great range of resources.

Senior Systems Support Officer (18 hours, salary £11,670)

The System Support Team is responsible for the day to day running of the Library Management System currently with Axiell Ltd. - using Open Galaxy 3.28 - the people counter contract with Plescon, and any information technology, hardware or software issues and requirements. The team of three work very closely with both the Library Service and suppliers to ensure efficient and smooth running of the systems which support all the work of the Library Service.  The postholder will work directly to Senior Manager, Systems Support and line manage the System Support Assistant (18hours per week).
