  * Ian Cooke - Head of Contemporary British Publications, British Library discussed the recent survey of Social Science and Science, Technology and Medicine reading room users<http://www.slideshare.net/alissinfo/july2015cooke>.<http://www.slideshare.net/alissinfo/july2015cooke> This survey, conducted in January- February 2015, asked readers about their use of the Library on the day that they visited and more generally. The survey supports analysis of priorities and preferences as collections and reading rooms evolve. Comparisons can also be drawn with surveys conducted previously (in 2009 and 2007) and focus group research in 2011. More generally, the surveys reveal behaviour of a mainly postgraduate audience using a research library.
