Applicants are invited for a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate position working
on a collaborative research project with the Future Cities Catapult to further develop land use transport urban simulation models on which to create immersive
analytical decision-making tools for cities. Model development and graphics abilities essential.
The post is funded until 31st December 2016 in the first instance and is available from 1st September 2015.
A PhD (or a PhD nearing completion) in a quantitative speciality within a social or engineering science discipline, or a science discipline with experience in social science applications is essential for appointment at Grade 8 along with substantial visualisation experience.
Extensive experience of building innovative visualisations of complex datasets and web-based dissemination tools is also essential
together with programming experience in any of the following languages: C#, C++, Java or Python.
