Duties and Responsibilities
Applicants are invited for a Research Associate / Senior Research Associate position working on a collaborative research project with the Future Cities Catapult to further develop land use transport urban simulation models on which to create immersive analytical decision-making tools for cities. Model development and graphics abilities essential.


The post is funded until 31st December 2016 in the first instance and is available from 1st September 2015.
Key Requirements
A PhD (or a PhD nearing completion) in a quantitative speciality within a social or engineering science discipline, or a science discipline with experience in social science applications is essential for appointment at Grade 8 along with substantial visualisation experience.

Extensive experience of building innovative visualisations of complex datasets and web-based dissemination tools is also essential together with programming experience in any of the following languages: C#, C++, Java or Python.
