Afternoon all - a message on behalf of Cally Oldershaw as below.

Dear ESEF(EW) Member

I am working on a scoping project and wondered if you have any ideas, particularly in respect of the school curriculum and the changes that are underway and careers information. Also, do you think school competitions really work?

I am looking at:

  * mining-related schools curriculum links (UK) - with a view to developing a workshop or competition etc
  * identifying websites with good mining-related careers advice for pupils (and their teachers) to raise awareness and encourage youngsters to go to univ to study mining and mining engineering,
  * and finding examples of good mining-related briefiing notes for use for government/parliamentary liaison.

I already have quite a few ideas, but do you by chance know of any 'best practice' websites that you would suggest I look at?

All the best

Cally
