Chair in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) The University of Leeds is seeking to appoint a Chair in TESOL. We are looking for an academic leader, with strategic vision and a high level of research capability, to join the Language Education Academic Group in the School of Education. The post-holder will contribute significantly to the School of Education's research capacity and positioning for research assessment exercises, and will lead on aspects of the development of research-led teaching in the Language Education Academic Group. In doing so, they will enable the following University strategic criteria to be met: (i) to generate the highest quality research and publications, aligning where possible with existing research strengths in the School of Education; (ii) to enlarge the existing research and teaching capability in the area by providing academic leadership and promoting innovative research-led teaching; (iii) to respond to identified new funding priorities in education and demand in home and overseas postgraduate research; (iv) to contribute to impact and innovation through engagement with a wide range of policy and practitioner communities.
