DRI's latest investigation featured by ABC News

July 30, 2015 -- Washington, DC -- DRI's most recent report No Justice: Torture, Trafficking and Segregation in Mexico is leading to change in Mexico City. The day after the report was released, Mexico City authorities agreed to immediately end the practice of sterilizing women with disabilities and ban the use of cages and physical restraints. In addition, the Secretary for Social Development promised to fully integrate people with disabilities into society and work with us to craft a roadmap for reform.

DRI's investigation into abusive institutions in Mexico will be featured on ABC's World News Tonight with David Muir tonight, July 30, at 6:30 PM EDT and on ABC's Nightline at 12:35 AM EDT.
