Dear All, I am bringing to your attention the advertisement for ** *International PhD Program in Integrative Structural Biology* (ISB) in Vienna: *The newly FWF-funded International PhD Program in **Integrative Structural Biology (ISB)** invites applications for **PhD studentships and 1 part-time Post-doctoral fellowship** *** The ISB offers a unique training and research network to study the structure and mechanism of complex macro-molecular systems involved in fundamental biological processes, such as pathogen-host interactions, protein quality control, muscle development, neurodegenerative diseases, membrane trafficking, protein-nucleic acids interactions and DNA damage response. ISB integrates state-of-the-art structural and functional biology approaches with an emphasis on the implementation of structural biology hybrid methods. We offer challenging, interdisciplinary PhD projects, an innovative research-based training and mentoring program and a strong, collaborative research network. Highly motivated students with a strong interest in Structural Biology are welcome to apply. PhD applicants should have an academic degree equivalent to a Diploma or a Masters in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Computational Biology or related disciplines and**should**be able to communicate in English at an advanced level. Interested candidates are invited to visit the home pages of the teams of the International PhD program in Integrated Structural Biology at:www.mfpl.ac.at <http://www.mfpl.ac.at/training/phd-opportunities/doctoral-program-structural-biology.html>/training/phd-opportunities/doctoral-program-structural-biology.html <http://www.mfpl.ac.at/training/phd-opportunities/doctoral-program-structural-biology.html> *__* *_Research Topics:_* ·*Protein Quality Control- **Tim Clausen* <http://www.imp.ac.at/research/tim-clausen/>***(Research Institute of Molecular Pathology)*** ·*Muscle Actin Cytoskeleton - **Kristina Djinovic-Carugo****(University of Vienna)*** ·*Ciliogenesis and membrane trafficking - **Gang Dong****(Medical University of Vienna)*** ·*Neurotransmitters, GPCRs - **Michael Freissmuth****(Medical University of Vienna)*** ·*Protein Structural Dynamics - **Robert Konrat****(University of Vienna)*** ·*Virus - Host Interactions - **Tim Skern****(Medical University of Vienna)*** ·*DNA Damage Response - **Dea Slade****(University of Vienna)*** ·*RNA-Protein Interactions - **Bojan Zagrovic****(University of Vienna)*** Apply at: http://www.mfpl.ac.at/phd-program/application/how-to-apply/ (*Deadline: 6^th September 2015*).
