We are looking for a Teaching Fellow in Statistics to work within the UCL Institute of Child Health Centre for Applied Statistics Courses (CASC), 1 year maternity cover.

 

This is an opportunity to gain experience of teaching statistics to non-statisticians from a broad range of backgrounds with a well-established teaching group located at the UCL Institute of Child Health and Great Ormond Street Hospital. The UCL ICH Centre for Applied Statistics Courses (CASC) consists of 3 members of teaching staff and an administrator. We provide two MSc modules (Research Methodology and Statistics; Further Statistical Topics for Research), training for iBSc students and also a wide range of short courses aimed primarily at local staff (ICH and GOSH) but also advertised nationally with participants coming from a wide range of application areas. The successful applicant will be expected to support the current program and will have the opportunity to develop their own short courses, dependent on their statistical interests, to augment those already running (www.ucl.ac.uk/stats-courses ).

 

The post is funded for 1 year maternity cover in the first instance with a salary of £37,152-£40,313 inclusive of London Weighting pro rate per annum depending on skills and experience.

The successful applicant must have a first degree (BSc or MSc) or PhD in statistics or equivalent level of attainment.
