CfP: Symposium on Change in Higher Education and the question of ‘student engagement’: deadline extended to 22nd June.
This symposium aims to explore the time of ‘accelerated’
change in British HE in the post-Browne review era. We want to encourage colleagues
in the social sciences to explore
the institutional, cultural change inaugurated by the increase in student fees that
we were all subjected to, participated in, argued over between 2010-2012, and
the dynamics that fast-paced change in large organisations creates. We take a
very broad approach to the notion of ‘student engagement’, which the symposium
centres on, and invite contributions that explore it from a range of
perspectives and understand it in a variety of ways. Please see the website for
dull details of the call for papers.
