The successful applicant will work on projects of mutual interests with Prof. Huirong Yan. Applicants with expertise on MHD simulations, plasma and/or high energy processes are particularly encouraged to apply. The possible starting date can be as soon as Oct 2015, and the search continues till the positions are filled. As one of Germany's largest research centres, DESY carries out fundamental research that creates new knowledge and new conceptual approaches. It conducts a broad spectrum of inter-disciplinary scientific research in various areas including astroparticle physics. The successful candidate will be given a research budget and have the opportunities for international collaborations. DESY experts are playing leadership roles in a number of international projects in astroparticle physics, including IceCube and CTA.
