Interfamily Therapy Groups
Workshop and discussion: 10:00am -1:00pm
Interfamily Therapy involves working with several families together in a large group setting. It is a very innovative and cost-effective way of working with groups which is inspired by group-analytic, systemic and intergenerational theory and is becoming an important clinical resource in various countries. It also provides an interesting source of information about family dynamics for psychotherapists of different persuasions.
Javier Sempere is a group analyst, family therapist and child and adolescent psychiatrist who works at the Vega Baja Hospital (Orihuela, Spain) and the CTI (Center for Interfamily Therapy, Elche, Spain). He is also the Director of the MA Programme on Interfamily Therapy at the CEU University.
Claudio Fuenzalida is a Clinical Psychologist and family therapist, Coordinator of the ASM Day Hospital (Elche, Spain), a member of the teaching staff of the MA Programme on Interfamily Therapy at the CEU University and Coordinator of the Leonardo European Programme for Interfamily Therapy.
