I started a new role not long after I finished my specialist programme and had to start from scratch. I wrote my own policies using the information I found on line and from my previous experience as well as from what I had learnt on the degree programme. By writing your own or adapting one you have previously used you can use the experience to write up in your portfolio and use it as evidence for the NMC when you come to revalidate.
