ALISS  visit to Library service Cafcass 6th July 2pm

ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information professionals in the Social Sciences).  are pleased to announce an opportunity to visit the library service of Cafcass and to meet its two member staff who will provide details of the support that they offer to social care professionals, both within the central London offices and remotely.
Cafcass is a Non-Departmental Public Body (NDPB) it was established on 1st April 2001. It is accountable to the Ministry of Justice and has a remit to support the 140,000 children and young people who go through the family justice system each year. The organisation employs c.1300 Family Court Advisors (FCAs) who are qualified, experienced social workers, across 43 sites . The library was established
In 2006 and now has more than 20,000 items in the collection, composed of books, journal articles, government publications, research reports, dissertations and links to online content.
