Hi,

I've had the same experience as Shirley, our Edexcel tests are running smoothly with no issues. We've had some very poor customer service and some large issues with C&G FS for around 3 years, this year is our first with Edexcel, so we won't be going back to C&G.

Has the change to POP for next year been confirmed Shirley?

Many Thanks
Rachel

Hi

We had a different experience than you Kate. Our online functional skills have run really well with Edexcel. No problems apart from us having to re-start our College servers every morning to make sure the tests pull through but that's no big deal. One down side is that they are pretty inflexible but we book them all for 12noon so they are able to be opened for most of the day. C&G I understand are more flexible but our teaching staff won't have them. Functional skills are not on the POP Platform, but may migrate to this next year.

If you want to give me a ring I will be happy to discuss.

Thanks

Shirley

You will never be able to get their online testing system to run properly....don't do it!!!!!!

It took us 6 hours yesterday to get just one test up and running and had to speak to 6 people at Edexcel, 2 calls we had the phone put down on us, we were told the test was an ESM test, then it was a POP test, then it was ESM and so on!!! The test couldn't be seen on either system and then we were accused of not booking it even though we had the confirmation report and attendance register.

The poor kid finally sat it at 3.47pm instead of 10am!!! (good job he was one of our internal apprentices in the Print Room). Even our Account Manager was worse than useless

Hi

I have just been told by our head of Funky Skills that we will be moving from City and Guilds to Edexcel for FS Maths. Can anyone give me an idea of the implications of this for the exams team.

We have run some online tests for the new BTEC tests this year is this the same system they use for FS?
