The International Journal of Gender, Sexuality and Law  will be launched later this year, edited by Professor Chris Ashford (Northumbria University) and others.

The Journal aims to publish international, high-quality theoretical and empirical research which advances both knowledge and legal discourse pertaining to gender and lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, heterosexual and queer sexualities. It will provide an inclusive space for radical and progressive academic debate from a range of disciplines, including but not limited to, law, sociology, criminology, history, geography, psychology, media, cultural studies, sexuality and gender studies. More information on the Journal’s desired content and submission guidelines can be found on the website.

I would like to invite colleagues to contribute to the Reviews section of the Journal, which will cover books, films and web materials exploring gender, sexuality and law. This can be done by:

• Contacting me to request a copy of a book you have identified which you would like to review for the Journal. I will liaise with the publisher to obtain it and send it on to you with review instructions.
• Indicating that you would like to be added to my email list which will periodically request reviewers for suitable books, films or web materials I have sourced or identified for inclusion.
• Submitting self-selected reviews on an ad hoc basis which you think are of relevance to the journal.
