A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the University of Texas Houston Medical School, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Center for Membrane Biology. The successful applicant will focus on structural determination of membrane transporter protein using X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy. The ideal candidate is expected to have a recent PhD in structural biology with demonstrated records of structural determination using crystallization or single particle analysis techniques. He/she should have experience on protein expression and purification and standard molecular biology techniques. Experience with insect cell or mammalian cell cultures is a plus.
