Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position funded by
Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research to join the research team of Professor
Michelle West working in collaboration with the group of Dr Erika
Mancini within the Biochemistry and Biomedicine subject
group in the School of Life Sciences at the University of Sussex.

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated team player to join a friendly
and hard-working team to use structural and biochemical methods to
understand the molecular basis for the cooperative control of cellular
gene transcription by the PU.1 transcription factor
in leukaemia and in Epstein-Barr Virus-associated lymphoma. This will
provide key molecular details on cellular gene deregulation in these
malignancies to help elucidate the steps in their development and inform
the rational design of novel therapeutic strategies.
You will have previous experience and high-quality publications in the
field of eukaryotic transcriptional control. Protein expression,
structural biology, molecular biology and biochemistry skills are
essential. Starting salary will be determined by the level
of experience of the applicant.

biological sciences in the UK, coming in the top 10 in the REF 2014.
