* Please circulate widely * * Sincere apologies for cross-posting * Dear list members *Registration* is now *open* for Specialization Course in *M(F)atherhood: health* *,* * breeding and cultures **(**Diploma de Especialización en M(P)aternidades: salud, crianzas y culturas) *of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) in Tarragona (Spain). The aim of the Course M(F) is to provide a solid foundation and critical theories, techniques, practices and methodologies from different disciplines (obstetrics and gynaecology, gender studies, anthropology and current neuroscientific theories) to analyse and translate social problems into research questions and results that can translate research into socially innovative public policies helping to create new models of health and social care around contemporary parenthood. The Course is intended as online/in-class course and will start in October 2015 and will end in July 2016. The classes will be held in Tarragona. Languages: Spanish, Catalan and English. The course is intended for health professionals in the field of psychology, medicine, nursing, physiotherapy and midwives, also for researchers in health sciences and social sciences . During the learning process it will be used different teaching methods: virtual classes, case studies, cooperation and discussion, tutoring and personalized guidance and using a wide variety of audio-visual and library resources. Teachers team are all international professionals like Michel Odent, Gabriella Bianco, Carme Valls Llobet, Miriam Al Adib Mendiri, Francisca Fernández Guillén, Josep Comelles, Adolf Gómez Papí, Lluïsa García-Esteve, AmagatTeatre, Laura Cardús, Marta Ausona, Coral Cuadrada, etc. (anthropologists, historians, psychologists, and medical doctors, midwives, nurses, artists, lawer and philosophers).
