Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Robot-Era project (http://www.robot-era.eu), I
would like to bring your attention to the Call for papers
of the workshop "Bridging user needs to
deployed applications of service robots” that will be
held at the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent
Robots and Systems (IROS) 2015.
We invite researchers to submit either a 4-6 page paper OR a 2 page
extended abstract that relates to the workshop theme. Video
submissions will also be considered.
Possible topics include, but are not limited to:
Socially assistive robotics
Robot companions
Abilities and capabilities (assistive manipulation,
socially-aware robot navigation, multi-modal interaction,
human-robot-environment cooperation, context awareness)
Stakeholders’ Needs and expectations
Dependability and Acceptability
Design thinking methods
Technical specifications and analysis
ELS aspects (e.g. How to avoid vandalism of robots in public
spaces?)
Economic implications
Standardization and Benchmarking
Examples of experimentation
Authors will be allotted a short time slot to present their work
during the workshop. Accepted papers will also be considered for
inclusion in a proposed special issue based on the workshop
theme.
The submission deadline is on
the of 20th July 2015.

Camera-ready deadline: 28th August 2015
Workshop: 28 September 2015 - full day
