There's pros and cons to each method - what happens when potential students
search for a course (externally) if there are 2 years of entry? What page
is surfaced on the SERP first? Would you be penalised for duplicate
content? Do applicants know what year of entry is appropriate for them
anyway?

I guess it depends how different the courses are year on year at your
institution. At Portsmouth they aren't that different so we take the
alternative approach and only have one list of courses but flag up new
courses that might come online for the next year of entry.

For example, right now, our undergraduate course portfolio is for September
2015 entry only, but we add in extra info to these pages when UCAS release
their 2016 entry pages (which is normally around this time of year). So
from mid-May to September we will have two lots of detail in the key facts
section only, e.g. Entry req's and Fees and any new courses for 2016 entry
are clearly marked as such.

Then from September 2015 we just have Sept 2016 entry courses and any old
courses that aren't running anymore are removed.
