Dear all,

Hope you are well! A few quick things:

  1. CfP: The Call for Papers for this year's PSA Postgrad Network Conference 'Critical Junctures and Turning Points' has been extended to Sunday – for our PG members, you can submit a paper and/or register here: http://www.psa.ac.uk/conference/postgraduate-network-2015-conference
  2. CfP: The University of Westminster is hosting Popular Culture and World Politics 8 – submissions especially welcomed in the areas of gender, sexuality and queer politics: http://pcwp8.com (deadline 31 July)
  3. The University of Leicester is advertising a Lectureship in International Politics (broadly defined), with an emphasis on gender: http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/ATV360/lecturer-in-international-politics/ Please can you circulate through your networks - I am also happy to chat informally about the job & Dept ([log in to unmask]).
  4. We know a lot of people are blogging, commenting, etc about the GE2015 – if you do have any comment pieces, etc, that you'd like us to crosspost on the website – please do send them our way. Here are two recent pieces from Rosie Campbell & Jennifer Hudson, and Rainbow Murray, which may be of interest:

  5. A reminder that our annual PSA Women and Politics Undergraduate Essay competition is open until 15 June (http://psawomenpolitics.com/prizes/). Please send your 'best' gender and politics UG essay to Fran ([log in to unmask]). The word limit is 3,000 words maximum (excluding bibliography) (NB: students should not independently send their essays).
  6. The other exciting election event beyond the GE is, of course, the elections for Trustee positions on the PSA Executive – voting is open until 10 pm on 5 June 2015. You can cast your vote here if you are a PSA member: https://www.psa.ac.uk/election/11. Two of our members are standing for election & are seeking your support – Angie Wilson (Manchester) & myself. You can read our candidate statements when you log-in to vote.

Looking forward to seeing some of you at the Gender and Political Leadership conference tomorrow – hashtag is #womenleadersconf

All best,

Meryl & Fran
