Grounded in black feminist scholarship and activism, intersectionality was formally coined in 1989 by black legal scholar Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw. The reading group will provide the opportunity to discuss and explore the history of intersectionality and its application to public policy and public health in a creative, artistic and fun environment.


Pre-reading is required and will be circulated in early June.
