Dear all,

We are organising the workshop "Examining the Essence of the Crowds: Motivations, Roles and Identities" within the European Conference on Computer Supportive Cooperative Work, which will be held in Oslo, 19-23 September 2015: http://www.ecscw2015.no/program/workshops-and-master-classes/

In this workshop we will examine the essence of the crowd: crowd's roles, identities and motivation factors in voluntary and paid crowdsourcing. We encourage diverse and creative methods and theoretical frameworks, and we invite empirical and theoretical work, position papers and works in progress. We will apply interactive methods in exploring the topics like small group discussions and flash presentations. The workshop will result in a research agenda, which presents a roadmap for addressing these questions.

The call for papers can be found on the workshop website: http://ecscw2015.blogs.dsv.su.se/ and the deadline is July 1st 2015.

Please contact me and/or the other workshop co-organisers for any further information.

Best wishes

Laura
