The University of Bristol’s School of Earth Sciences is seeking to recruit a full time Geology Teaching Fellow with expertise in mineralogy and metamorphic geology and in field work and mapping. You will be an energetic, committed teacher who is dedicated to bringing out the best in students and to instilling their love of the subject in them. You will participate in student-facing administration and will be required to be a member of School and Faculty committees as is necessary.

You will participate in the evolution and development of teaching programmes and curricula and will be responsible for overseeing geological mapping training throughout the School and for coordinating the independent mapping projects carried out by Year 3 Geology students. You will be expected to deliver high quality theoretical, practical and field teaching in mineralogy and metamorphic geology, small-group tutorials and supervision of MSci geology projects. An interest in developing e-learning is encouraged.

Applicants will have an undergraduate degree and a PhD in Geology or Earth Sciences.
