Salary: £28,695 - £30,434 (with progression to £37,394)
You will work on a Wellcome Trust ISSF funded evaluation project of Faculty of Medical Sciences Public and Patient Involvement/Engagement (PPI/E) activities, projects
and centres. You will be an integral member of the FMS Engagement Team and involved in continually improving investment in, and support for, evidence-based PPI/E activities. You will contribute to and draft grant funding applications for further research
and evaluation of PPI/E; draft and critique papers for publication and present at conferences both academic and those targeting senior clinicians and NHS managers.
You will have PhD in a social sciences or health related discipline; have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and have knowledge of one or more
of the following academic fields: medical sociology; ethnomethodology; health economics; health psychology; health services research; medical anthropology; medical geography or science and technology studies. Knowledge of the role and function of PPI/E and
of evaluation of the impact of PPI/E is essential.
You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated. You will have proven verbal and written communication skills to a high standard and relevant to publication for academic,
public and practitioner audiences. You will possess the ability to use own initiative and maintain confidentiality. You will also possess the ability to work flexibly and co-operatively with others, but also to work independently.
Tenable for two years.
