This one-day conference will explore how museums can develop models for working with third sector bodies and other external partners on participation and other outreach work.
The day will include:

discussion about what are the barriers to participation are and how can these be overcome

tactics to increasing participatory practice in your organisation

exploration of some of the different approaches to undertaking participation work with third-party organisations.
There will also be stakeholder mapping exercises identifying who your potential partners could be, and role play to highlight how participation can benefit museums and community groups.
