Welcome to the World Social Sciences Forum 2015 (WSS Forum 2015) Scholarship Programme application page.

Applications for the Scholarship Programme can be submitted on-line via the Forum website only.  Applications submitted via email or any other form will not be accepted.

Aim of the Scholarship Programme

The aim of the WSS Forum 2015 Scholarship Programme is to make the WSS Forum 2015 accessible to those participants who would otherwise not have been able to attend.  If you do have access to resources to fund your WSS Forum 2015 participation, travel and accommodation, do not apply for a scholarship.

The scholarship fund is restricted and can only support the most meritorious applications. Preference will be given to those individuals who make a significant contribution to the Forum programme or who can demonstrate that their participation will advance Social Science in their field of work.

Applications for the WSS Forum 2015 Scholarship Programme is open to any person concerned with the thematic areas of the Forum in any country, including South Africa.

How to complete the application

You are required to complete all information fields in the various sections of the scholarship application.

Some of the questions relate to specific scholarship donor requirements and the final scholarship awards will be done in accordance with the donor's funding criteria.  

Before you begin: If you require travel arrangements of a visa for entry into South Africa, you will need your passport details readily available.

All information provided will be kept confidential and will be used exclusively by the Scholarship Committee to decide on the scholarship awards.

Important Notes

-  Please note that if you have already registered for WSS Forum 2015, your scholarship application cannot be considered.
-  Applications can only be done on-line.

-  17 April 2015 Scholarship applications opens 
-  06 May 2015  Scholarship applications closes
-  21 May 2015  Scholarship notifications issued
