Announcing: the new Policy Press Shorts format
Do you want to reach readers quickly for maximum impact?
Do you have original ideas and want to make a difference?
Policy Press has always been committed to flexible publishing which suits the changing needs of our readers. We are excited therefore to be launching our Policy Press Shorts format, designed to deliver commentary and cutting-edge research in a concise, easily accessible way.
Our new short-form titles, peer-reviewed and ranging from 20-50,000 words, are produced within 12 weeks and are available in paperback or hardback, and epub, kindle and epdf for both personal purchase and for libraries and institutions.
We offer three different options:
• Policy Press Shorts: insights - inspiring new social commentary and insights on topical issues, so you can join the debate quickly and authoritatively;
• Policy Press Shorts: research - books providing the latest cutting-edge research findings (longer than an article but shorter than a monograph) significantly quicker than the usual monograph route;
• Policy Press Shorts: policy and practice – works that will have an impact on policy and practice in key areas of society.
Some examples of the first Policy Press Shorts include:
Insights
Sixteen for '16: A progressive agenda for a better America by Salvatore J. Babones
Research
Female serial killers in social context: Criminological institutionalism and the case of Mary Ann Cotton by Elizabeth Yardley and David Wilson
