Dear Gaoyina,

I have not met this situation before myself, but I have some remarks:

- Are you sure that none of your crystal contacts is a dimer interface?

- Did you do SEC or SAXS at conditions close to the crystallization conditions? Crystallization conditions themselves off course lead to protein precipition. However, you might have stumbled upon crystallization conditions that break the dimer.
Best,
Herman

Betreff: [ccp4bb] About protein aggregation~!

Hi,
Recentely,we determined a monomer protein structure which looks like an dimer in solution via size-exclusion chromatography and SAXS,
have you guys met such a situation before? or some references,

Thank you for your reading

Best wishes,
