Crybaby Studio, based in Nottingham, is putting together a project that might be of interest to BARS members, particularly all those Blakeans out there. "Poison Tree" is a short film part-funded by Creative England. It will be the next in an eclectic catalogue of beautiful, macabre and darkly comic short films from Nottingham's very own twin-talents, John and Tom Turrell. Inspired by William Blake it is the story of Shirley, a young woman out to avenge her sister's untimely death by gatecrashing the birthday party of an old school friend, the sort of birthday party that only leafy middle class England could make so excruciatingly prim and proper.

If you are interested in learning more about the project, contact [log in to unmask], and if you would like to contribute to the match funding campaign, details about how to do so are available at www.crowdfunder.co.uk/poisontree.
