Group does not have any impact on the 1st level as each subject is analyzed separately. That leaves a 3*3 design. In your original email, you mentioned you had 2 conditions: rest and active. Now it appears that you have 9 conditions. In this case, you will want to specify the onsets and durations for all 9 conditions.

Thank you so much, Watson and McLaren.

Please, let me ask you a question.

Is it necessary to describe the factorial design in the 1st level?

In my case I have a 2*3*3 factorial design (group*workingtask*emotion), so it will be better to perform a full factorial for example??

Thank you so much again,

Best,

Juan.
