This is an old MLA document (remember them?) – might be useful for you; British Library has a good document on pests available on their website as well.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for information on setting up a pest checking action plan, mainly for costume and textile collections, but also for other social history collections such as dolls and toys. I would like to find out about best practice in sample checking, eg. detailed checking of every fifth costume box, or one item of costume from every other wardrobe etc.
