I imagine that acid in the books would tarnish the silver?? -

Hello Everyone

My team and I are putting together exhibition display layouts ready for a mount maker to work from.  Someone mentioned that we shouldn’t put silver plate in the same case as parchment or printed books as they adversely affect each other.  I must admit that I’d never heard this before.  Can anyone enlighten me on mixing media within a display case or point me towards a source of information?

I’d be very grateful.

Many thanks.
