I would be grateful for your thoughts and advice on how long those
in public authorities keep information and case files for FOI requests, and on what basis are retention periods decided.
Also, do you weed at file closure and if so what do you discard and retain, and in what format?
In my jurisdiction (Jersey) we have a brand new law in force since January, so it's a good time to get this right.
