A visitor was very surprized that I was getting taxidermy specimens out of the store for a ‘nudist play’ we were putting together.

Always leave a breath between ‘new’ and ‘display’ when speaking!

Butterflies presumably?
I recently mentioned to a collector of arms and armour that I knew of some man traps that might be available for sale. He's replied  expressing disappointment that you can't buy suitable springs for them any more!

Morning all!

Has anyone got any short quirky tales from their collectors?

Nothing huge, just one fun sentence. For example, an entomologist in Plymouth walked round a park with a female butterfly in his pocket and after an hour he was surrounded by hundreds of males!

Please send them offlist – [log in to unmask]

Thanks all,

Jan
