Hello everyone
Well, Mandy got in first and sent her lovely email to everyone. It really said everything and it’s difficult for me to think of anything new. But … I’ll try.
Thank you all so much for the help, warmth and friendship you have extended to me over the 6 years I’ve been at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Library Service. It has been wonderful to know you all. I thought the London NHS crowd were great,
but the north west people are even better. You have a fantastic network up here.
I want to extend a special thank you to the HCLU staff – you are a marvellous team and I’ve loved working with you over the years.
Thank you everyone for the farewell gifts, both the packages David brought the other week, and the ones I received today. You are all so very thoughtful. The leaving lunch Mandy and I had today was made extra special by the many colleagues
who attended. It was great to see you all.
I will soon be moving down to London and will be staying with friends in between all the travelling – 11 years in the UK hasn’t been long enough to see all I had on my list when I first came over. I still have a few places here and on the
continent I’ve still to visit. Then, once that is done, it’s off to a golden retirement in New Zealand … bliss!
I’ll miss the lovely north west and its people.
I want to take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for your future.
Best wishes and thank you.
Goodbye & good luck
Jeanine
