AboutThe Job


 
An opportunity has arisen for a GIS &Modelling Analyst in the International Property Research team at Tesco, basedin the UK but supporting our teams across Europe and Asia.


 
Asa function, Property Research supports the business by providing strategic insightto guide decision making with regards to new store appraisal, estateoptimisation and broader customer research.

 

MainResponsibilities


 
•        Develop sales forecast models &frameworks in conjunction with country teams to support new store assessment

•        Develop GIS functionality tosupport country analysts with delivery of spatial insight to drive propertyactions and improved sales performance

•        Develop and define best practice oncore property research analytical tasks

•        Coach and upskill country analyststo build their analytical and insight capability

•        Identify and evaluate new datasources that could enhance the insight in a country

•        Undertake analytical project workto provide actionable insight into key property-related business issues


 
IdealCandidate


 
To succeed in this role you’ll need:

•        A high level of numeracy withstrong analytical and problem solving skills

•        Experience of using statisticalpackages such as R, SAS or SPSS for analysis of large datasets and to buildpredictive models alongside advanced spreadsheet and database skills

•        To be a strong communicator able toexplain complex ideas to a wide range of audiences


 
In addition it’s an advantage if you have:

•        Experience of using GeographicInformation Systems for spatial analysis

•        Knowledge of SQL or similarlanguage

•        Willingness to undertake traveloverseas
