Research Publication - SP1011 (State of Contaminted Land)

Well I had drafted an email on 26th March but I guess I thought it was just another parody of myself so I didn’t bother sending it as I considered it once again to be a bit confrontational. Ah well here goes:

How do Everyone

Thanks ever so much for that. I feel on balance that has pretty much summed up the disparity in thinking between everyone and reflects the polarised nature of the debate.

I’d just like confirmation on the fact that the fence has been removed and that C4SLs have been adopted as suitable for the planning purpose. Or did I just dream that I read that somewhere?

As the debate continues I’d just like that cleared up. Whether it is consensually accepted or not.

With regard to asbestos I can’t see how a chemical modelling system (such as CLEA) can be employed to model asbestos.

I’ll step back from that fuse now. Bye!!

Cheers everyone. J

Folks,

DEFRA has just that the outputs from project SP1011 are available at:

http://randd.defra.gov.uk/Default.aspx?Menu=Menu&Module=More&Location=None&Completed=0&ProjectID=136

The outputs comprise three documents: covering England, Wales and the impacts of the revised Statutory Guidance in each country. The reports review progress to the end of December 2013 and also the findings of a survey carried out in early 2014.

The project was led by Cranfield University with inputs from CL:AIRE’s Nicola Harries, Brian Bone of Bone Environmental, Naomi Earl and Steve Moreby.

Defra advise that the Environment Agency will be using the State of Contaminated Land (England) report to produce & publish their own report over the summer.

Happy Reading!
