Statistician – Inverness or Battleby (Perth) (Ref: 055-313)
Fixed Term until 8th January 2016
D Grade, Salary Range: £28,101 - £32,222 per annum pro rata
37 hours per week
This post provides advice and technical support in all aspects of data analysis and presentation for Scottish Natural Heritage.
To carry out this role you must have a degree with extensive statistical content and relevant work experience or a higher degree in Statistics, with practical experience of data handling and applying statistical methods, especially time series. The successful applicant will have experience in the use of statistical software, such as R and SPSS, including the ability to write scripts. Finally, a good knowledge of statistical techniques, including complex statistical methods and when to use them are a must.
