Hi all,

The UCL Department of Information Studies participates in a H2020 proposal, and is seeking for community partners in the area of privacy and data protection, which could support / participate in it.

The proposal concerns the issue of privacy in the use of mobile apps in smartphones and mobile devices. In particular, the project will study how collaborative awareness platforms can help users better understand the privacy properties of installed apps (and the corresponding Terms & Conditions documents), and how this awareness can be used to "persuade" (via peer-pressure and similar techniques) app developers to be "more fair" with respect to the types of (private) information they require access to.

If you are interested in supporting/participating in this research effort as a community partner, contact the following people to express your interest: Antonis Bikakis ([log in to unmask]), Theodore Patkos ([log in to unmask]), Giorgos Flouris ([log in to unmask]).

Many thanks,

Vassilis Routsis
