Dear Colleagues,

The Royal Veterinary College is offering a new 5-day residential course in Veterinary Education from 18th to 22nd May 2015. The course will be followed up with assessments and lead to Associate in Veterinary Education (accredited as AHEA by the HEA, UK). Please pass on to anyone teaching or training in the veterinary, paraveterinary or animal science sectors. Further details below:

A new 5 day residential course at the Royal Veterinary College, Hertfordshire

18th – 22nd May 2015

The Royal Veterinary College, University of London is pleased to announce this new residential coursedesigned to foster the development of educators across the field of veterinary science.

This course is ideal for

·         lecturers and assistant lecturers

·         PhD students with some teaching responsibilities

·         post-doctoral researchers

·         learning technologists, learning developers and learning resource/library staff

·         practicing vets who have teaching or training responsibilities

·         veterinary nurses who have teaching or training responsibilities

·         nursing clinical coaches

·         anyone who is planning a career in academia.

upon successful completion, you will achieve AHEA (Associate of the Higher Education Academy) status.

 

 

 

The Associate qualification is the first of five separate standalone qualifications, which culminate in the MSc in Veterinary Education. The programme therefore offers students maximum flexibility in their studies depending on their background, previous experience and career aspirations.  

 

 

 

 

Outstanding credentials

The RVC veterinary education team boasts impressive credentials; three of our tutors have received the prestigious National Teaching Fellow Award which celebrates outstanding achievement in learning and teaching in higher education. Only four veterinarians nationwide have been honoured with this award.
