About the seminar:
This seminar is aimed at exploring curriculum design decisions for the Postgraduate
Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education (PGCAPHE) at King’s College London. As academic practice programmes are relatively new in the UK the premise that has informed their design and delivery is still being negotiated. A number of factors influence
the curriculum design, and these factors are both external, namely the Higher Education Academy (HEA) Professional Standards Framework and internal, namely institutional Postgraduate Experience Survey (PTES) scores. In this seminar, Dr Chadha will discuss
how such factors influence the programme and how, in particular they have altered the nature of the PGCAPHE at King’s College London.
